Trefforest Estate train station is a small train station built to serve the workers of Trefforest Industrial Estate. It is located on the Merthyr Line and the Rhondda Line 9 miles north west of Cardiff Central.

Passenger services are provided by Arriva Trains Wales. Not all trains stop here, typically of the 6 services passing through each hour in each direction only 2 of these stop at the station. The station is based around a central island platform which is accessible from a subway.

It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1942. Mondays to Saturdays there is a half-hourly service southbound to Cardiff Central and northbound to Pontypridd (hourly to Merthyr Tydfil).
