Trains to Perry Barr - Station Details and further Information on Perry Barr Train Services

Perry Barr Railway Station is a train station in Perry Barr, Birmingham, England. Although rebuilt around the time of electrification in the 1960s, it stands on the site of the original Grand Junction Railway station of 1838, and so is the oldest station on its original site in the city, and one of the oldest station sites in the country. The pedestrian entrance is on the A34 Walsall Road.

It has two platforms, one each side of the two operating lines, with no points or sidings. The ticket office is on a bridge over the tracks, which are below street level.

The typical Monday-Saturday daytime service sees one train per half hour in each direction between Walsall and Birmingham New Street that are operated by Class 323 electric trains. This service is reduced to one train per hour in the evenings and on Sundays. There are a small number of early morning and late evening trains on weekdays that are operated by Class 170 diesel trains and extend past Walsall to either Hednesford or Rugeley Trent Valley.
