Melksham train station serves the town of Melksham in Wiltshire, England. It is on the branch line from Chippenham to Trowbridge that was originally part of the Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth Railway, absorbed in 1850 by the Great Western Railway. The station opened with the original section of the line between Thingley Junction and Westbury, on 05 September 1848. It was closed in 1966 under the Beeching Axe, but reopened in 1985. Melksham station is currently served by just two trains a day each way, operated by First Great Western.
