Trains to Kennett - Station Details and further Information on Kennett Train Services

Kennett train station serves the village of Kennett in Cambridgeshire, England. It opened in 1854 when the railway was extended from Newmarket to Bury St Edmunds. At its peak during the period 1860 to 1890 there was a station master and three other members of staff. It closed to freight traffic in 1965 and in 1967 became an unstaffed halt on the Cambridge-Ipswich line.

Kennett is served by ten trains a day (Monday to Saturday) to Cambridge calling intermediately at Newmarket. A few trains in the mornings and late evenings also call at Dullingham. Towards Ipswich, eleven trains daily calling at all stations. The 22:47 service starts from Peterborough and travels via Ely, continuing on to Colchester.

On Sundays, there are seven trains daily in each direction, including one service to Harwich International. All services are operated by National Express East Anglia.
