Hounslow train station is in the London Borough of Hounslow, in west London, and is in Travelcard Zone 5. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South West Trains.

Hounslow is the suggested terminus of a scheme proposed by Hounslow Council to run Crossrail trains onto the Hounslow Loop Line via South Acton. Reversing sidings would be constructed to the west of the station, boosting train turnaround times. This has not been included in the final Crossrail route presented to parliament in 2008,but this doesn't rule out an extension at a later date.
