Harwich International train station is a train station serving Harwich International Port in Essex, England. The station is located on the electrified Mayflower Line from Manningtree to Harwich Town. The station is located in and serves the community of Parkeston, and was known as Harwich Parkeston Quay until 1995.
The station is served by National Express East Anglia. Semi-fast services designed to connect with Stena Line Ferries to Holland from London Liverpool Street terminate here. These are all scheduled to be formed of Class 321 or Class 315 electric multiple units. Local services operate between Manningtree and Harwich Town. Many of these continue to/come from London Liverpool Street. Most services are operated by Class 360 electric multiple units, but some are operated by Class 321 EMUs, especially in the evenings and on Sundays. , Some services between Cambridge and Ipswich are extended to Harwich International to connect with Stena Line Ferries to Holland. These services use diesel multiple units of Classes 153, 156 or occasionally 170. |
