Trains to Godalming - Station Details and further Information on Godalming Train Services

Godalming train station is a stop on the Portsmouth Direct Line. The station, which opened in 1859 to replace one on a different site of the town, is situated at the edge of the town of Godalming. The current typical off-peak service is two trains per hour in each direction. Services are offered by South West Trains. The original station site, located to the north of the River Wey, was closed to passengers on completion of the through line from London to Portsmouth. The spur on which the old station lay was retained as a goods yard until 1969. A block of flats now occupies the former trackbed.

The staff at Godalming have worked hard over the past few years to maintain the station.
