Trains to Deighton - Station Details and further Information on Deighton Train Services

Deighton train station serves the Deighton area of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Deighton station is the first station 2 miles north east after Huddersfield train station on the Huddersfield Line towards Leeds. The station was opened on 26 April 1982 by Metro (the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive). It is close to the site of an earlier station on the branch line to Kirkburton which closed in 1930.

Local trains on the Huddersfield Line operated by Northern Rail from Huddersfield stop at Deighton going towards Leeds and Wakefield Westgate. Both services operate hourly Monday to Fridays, with a half-hourly service to Leeds in rush hours and Saturdays. There is a two-hourly service in each direction on Sundays - westbound trains used to continue through to Marsden prior to the December 2008 timetable change, but now terminate at Huddersfield.
