Trains to Chilham - Station Details and further Information on Chilham Train Services

Chilham train station serves the area around the village of Chilham in Kent, including Chilham itself, Shottenden, Old Wives Lees and Bagham. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Southeastern. The typical off-peak service from the station is one train per hour to Canterbury West and one train per hour to London Victoria via Ashford International and Maidstone East.

The station was opened by the South Eastern Railway (SER) on 1 December 1846, and is on the SER Ashford to Margate line. The wooden platforms are connected by a concrete footbridge - a typical product of the Southern Railway concrete factory at Exmouth Junction. There are level crossings near both ends of the station.

The station is unmanned. A PERTIS passenger-operated ticket machine, issuing 'Permits to Travel' - which are exchanged on-train or at manned stations for travel tickets - is located just inside the entrance to the Canterbury-bound platform from the car park.
