Trains to Brough - Station Details and further Information on Brough Train Services

Brough train station serves the town of Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is managed by Trans-Pennine Express, and also served by Northern Rail, First Hull Trains and National Express East Coast. The station was originally opened by the Hull and Selby Railway in 1840 and at one time had four tracks passing through. The course of the additional outer tracks can still be made out, although these were removed in the early 1970s.

Almost all services on the various routes out of Hull call at the station, giving it good links with many towns and cities in the rest of Yorkshire. There are also a number of through trains each day to and from London Kings Cross, courtesy of First Hull Trains (seven departures each weekday, five on Saturdays and Sundays) and National Express East Coast (one a.m peak service outbound, returning in the evening).

Trans-Pennine Express provide an hourly service to Selby, Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester Piccadilly whilst the services to Goole, Doncaster, Sheffield and York are operated by Northern Rail.

Currently there are two trains per hour to Doncaster (one serving most local stations, the other limited stop), one train each hour to Sheffield and one train every two hours (with extras at peak times) to York. Some services towards Hull on the latter routes continue along the Yorkshire Coast Line to Beverley, Bridlington and Scarborough.

Sunday sees an hourly service to Sheffield and every two hours to York & Manchester (with some extra trains in the afternoon).
