Trains to Baillieston - Station Details and further Information on Baillieston Train Services

Baillieston train station is located in Caledonia Road on the southern boundary of the Baillieston area of Glasgow. It is on the Whifflet Line 8 miles east of Glasgow Central railway station. Train services are provided by First ScotRail. The line was built in the period 1864-1866 by the Caledonian Railway and was called the Rutherglen to Coatbridge branch. The original Baillieston station was situated approximately 1 km further east at the southern end of Station Road. It was opened in 1866 commensurate with the start of passenger travel on the line. It was closed in 1965 and demolished thereafter. The current station opened on October 4th 1993.

A half-hourly service operates between Glasgow Central and Whifflet stations, on Mondays to Saturdays. There are currently no services on Sundays.
