Trains to Annan - Station Details and further Information on Annan Train Services

Annan train station serves the town of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is located on the Glasgow South Western Line 17½ miles north west of Carlisle and is managed by First ScotRail who provide all passenger train services.

Shortly after leaving Annan station on a westbound service to Dumfries, the line crosses a viaduct over the River Annan and adjoining flood plains. Also just to the West of Annan is a disused junction and dismantled line heading south to the Cochran's Boiler plant at Newbie.

There is generally a two-hourly service southbound to Carlisle (with some additional trains during the peaks and on Saturdays) and northbound to Dumfries, Kilmarnock and Glasgow. There are also a small number of through trains to Newcastle and Stranraer that call here. On Sundays five trains a day head southbound to Carlisle and four northbound to Dumfries, two of which run through to Glasgow.
