Tickets on Departure
Ticket on Departure is a facility within the Rail Industry which allows tickets to be purchased in advance and collected through Ticket Office or Self Service Machines. To use this facility you will require: |
- The Credit or Debit Card used to purchase the tickets
- The 8 character Ticket on Departure reference
With these two items tickets are available to collect at any suitably equipped station.
About the ticket collection reference number....
When you make a booking and selecting the 'Ticket on departure' option, you will be given a 8 digit ticket collection reference number containing both letters and numbers on the booking confirmation screen after you submit your booking. You will also get your number automatically emailed to you.
Why you need the card you booked with....
To collect your tickets, you MUST have the credit/debit card you used to make the booking.
You will be asked to insert your card into the machine. This is used for security purposes only. No further payment will be taken. There are around 400 stations on the National Rail network supporting the 'Ticket on Departure' facility. Any station not offering the facility will not give you the 'Ticket on departure' delivery option when booking with Computicket. |
