Heysham Port Ferry Overview
Heysham is a large coastal village near Lancaster in the county of Lancashire, England. Overlooking Morecambe Bay.
The Port of Heysham is one of a number of ferry ports in the United Kingdom that provides crossings to the Port of Douglas on the Isle of Man. Heysham is the gateway to one of England's favorite seaside resorts, Morecambe, and one of its oldest cities, Lancaster. And the Lancashire landscape is a real treat for walkers, with its rivers, fells and sleepy villages with lively pubs.
Heysham Ferry Port lies at the west end of Heysham Village and is easily located from the A683 and A589. The Heysham ferry port is well signposted on the approach. The port is open 24 hours a day for both Passenger and Freight services.
Heysham Ferry Port was built in 1900 and today Heysham's only passenger services are the frequent sailings to Douglas on the Isle of Man with Isle of Man Steam Packet Ferries. |

By Car - Exit M6 J34 & follow A589 to Morecambe & Heysham for 3.5 miles. At 2nd roundabout take A683 to Heysham which is 3.5 miles away. Follow signs for Ferry Port which is at the west end of Heysham village.
By Train - A daily service runs to and from Leeds to Heysham port station. This service runs once a day and is operated by Northern Rail.

Heysham Ferry Port Services
The Heysham Passenger Terminal has many facilities to enjoy whilst waiting for your ferry. There is a TV/Video Lounge, Children's Play Area, Toilet, washrooms and Baby Changing facilities. Refreshments are available through vending machines. The ferry port also offers a Little Chef Express where you can enjoy hot and cold meals and drinks. If you need to fill up, the nearest petrol station is located about 1.5 miles away in Oxcliffe Road.

Car Parking is available next door to the main terminal building. Long and short stay facilities are available. Please note - Maximum stay 28 days. Car parking is at owners risk.
