Grandi Navi Veloci's Splendid was built in 1994 at Nuovi Cantieri Apuania Shipyard at Marina di Carrara in Italy and lengthened in 1996 at the Fincantieri shipyard of Palermo. Splendid is currently one of the top 50 largest cruise ferries in the world along with 3 other ferries in the Grandi Navi Veloci fleet. The Splendid offers superb facilities and services that you would usually expect to find onboard cruise ships. Facilities include a choice of restaurants and bars, a shopping facilities, a cinema, swimming pool and sundeck, jaquzzi baths and an arcade. Splendid has 473 cabins .
